Günümüzün müzikal dehalarından biri olarak kabul edilen James Murphy, 90’lı yıllarda Punk gruplarına ses mühendisliği yapmakla başladığı müzik kariyerine Pony ve Speedking isimli gruplarla çalmakla devam ediyor. Sonrasında müziğe kısa bir zaman ara veren Murphy’nin kaderi 2001 yılında tanıştığı İngiliz Prodüktör Tim Goldsworthy ile tamamen değişiyor ve her zaman hayalini kurduğu DFA (Death From Above) Records ve LCD Soundsystem’ı kuruyorlar.Tim Goldsworthy ve James Murphy ikilisinin ilham verdiği LCD Soundsystem’a canlı performanslarda Pat Mahoney (Davul), Nancy Whang (Keyboards,Vokal), Tyler Pope (Bass) ve Phil Mossman (Gitar, Perküsyon) eşlik ediyor.
Fabric; live serisinin 36 numarasında, James Murphy ve Pat Mahoney eşliğinde kulaklarımızın pasını silmeye hazır ve bize düşen 24 parçadan oluşan bu müzikal ziyafet için Ekim ayını beklemek.
